Architecture/Design/Art students please help!

Im in year 12 and would like to apply to study architecture at uni. However, i have no qualifications in art. I didn't do art/design at gcse, and am not doing anything creative at A-Level. My subject are physics, maths, biology and construction.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to go about creating a portfolio. Im not terrible, and am willing to learn, but considering i don't have an art teacher, its gonna be difficult.
If you were me, where would you start to make sure that by year 13 i have a full profile.
Also, what super curriculars/work experience do you think are relevant in strengthening my application

Hi @khadiiii

It's great that you are starting to think about your portfolio. I would recommend looking at universities websites as they often have information about what they are looking for in portfolios.
If you go to open days it might also be useful to ask what they are looking for as well as looking at the student work to see what skills you may need. You can also find student work on course Instagram pages and going to the end of year degree shows.
I would imagine for architecture drawing skills would be key.

Is there any art teachers at your college? Maybe you could speak to them as they should have experience helping people apply to architecture.

I hope this helps and good luck

(moved from A&D to Architecture & Planning)
It might be worth looking at doing a FAD year (effectively a portfolio-building year) before you apply to university - there's a great thread by PQ about FADs here.

This thread may also be useful to you - which will tell you which universities look for specific A-levels (as some courses require Art). And finally (sorry for all the links, but hopefully this gives you some stuff to look through!) this thread has some great portfolio advice and practical tips for building a portfolio from an architecture lecturer.
