Loughborough Uni Entry Grades

Context: I really want to go to Loughborough Uni to study Biomedical engineering. The grades it recommends are AAB, however I am on (predicted) ABB!
I can't find if this means they won't even consider me: does anybody know if my grades will make the admissions team totally dismiss me, or just put me further down the list?
Did anybody here get to Loughborough through clearing? And if so, what was that like? Was it hard? Any tips? Was it worth it?

If you're only a grade off, I would encourage you to apply. Make sure your other choices are in line with (or below) your predicted grades.

If the rest of your application is strong, you may very well be made an offer. You'll have to work hard to ensure you meet it.

Loughborough - like most unis - does go into clearing, but the entry requirements would be set higher than any concessions they may make to existing applicants.

I got into Loughborough through clearing this summer for an engineering course and my grades were BBC. No contextual offer or anything and they just let me in through clearing and the process was so simple.
Past clearing offers do not guarantee that future clearing offers will be made at that level.

I know of other people who also got into Loughborough with similar grades through clearing during previous years. In fact it is because of those people that I tried Loughborough clearing and got in with my grades. So as a worst case scenario the person who made this thread can try Loughborough clearing but I’m not sure if they let you apply through clearing if they’ve originally rejected your UCAS application so might be worth ringing the uni to ask
