is Leeds Dentistry possible with these stats?

Just wanted to know if i should apply to Leeds for dent, for my UCAT i got 2330 (3230 in last years) B2 and A*AA predicted.But my gcses are quite mid compared to the average dent applicant to leeds i got 98877766 with the 6s in bio and physics and then 7s in chem,maths,history and the 8s and 9s in english lit lang and RE.I know they weigh gcses quite heavy apparently but ive also seen that a high ucat can counter mid gcses and vice versa? Is it worth applying or should i consider liverpool or glasgow? My other options are KCL,Newcastle and Bristol.

Please can you ask Leeds directly
admissions or someone else in authority,
as your UCAT is excellent but you are correct that GCSEs matter a lot for this option, so it’s reasonable to ask them

I’m in a similar situation. My ucat this year was 2270 B1 and my GCSEs are 997777777. I applied last year with 2610 B1 and got rejected pre interview

Your stats are incredible. I really suggest you prioritise places based on post int success. Kings, Bart's, bristol and Glasgow are all 50%+. If you want to go for NCl go for it, but it's only 35% post interview whilst others are much higher. Just a thought!
And yeah don't bother with Leeds. Very opaque admissions policy and only 500 interviews for 70 offers

your UCAT is great but UoLeeds score 8 GCSEs so, unless other factors are in play,

Oh, I had understood it was only 6 but tbh when I emailed them to ask about how they select for interview their reponse was incredibly vague and no use at all. They obviously didnt want to give any specifics. So not very helpful. My full range of GCSE's are 9888877765.

Manchester,on the other hand were very clear that if you meet entry requirements that then you are ranked by UCAT scores and that determines their cut off threshold. Anyone above the threshold will be invited to interview so thinking that might be a safer bet?!? UCAT 2220 JJT Band 1, which last year equates to roughly 2920. Manchester lowest UCAT called to interveiw was, I think, 2860. So it is a bit close but worth a shot?

Its all a gamble at this point, I think . . .
