Future of international Students

Recently, there was a protest led by Tommy Robinson where about one million people gathered, demanding that Muslims be sent back to their countries. Many international students in the UK are Muslims studying subjects like law and politics, and these protests are causing problems for them.

Is it right to protest against an entire community like this? Doesn’t this spread hatred and unfairly target all Muslims, even those who follow the law and want to contribute positively to society in the future?

I believe protests should only be against those who break rules and cause trouble, not against whole communities. Everyone living in the UK follows visa rules and pays taxes, so why target all Muslims? Also, I noticed many protesters carrying Islamic and Palestinian flags, which made it seem like the protest was against Islam itself, not just specific people.

What do you think will be the future impact of such protests? Will this hatred grow or can it be stopped? How should society deal with this issue?
The recent protest was attended by around 110,000 - 150,000 people, so around 10% of the figure claimed above. If you look at this list of protest sizes in the UK, it's not really an exceptional number and with around 69 million people in the UK, it's no surprise a "coming over here..." crowd of that size can be drummed up.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is a violent grifter of the highest order, and I encourage people to treat him with the same respect they would anyone of that ilk.

Unfortunately whipping up populist anger against minority groups has been repeated time and time again throughout history. People are looking for someone other than themselves to blame for the stagnation we are seeing in the UK, so this will only get worse.

Most of these people are simply hateful bigots looking for someone to blame for their life with Tommeh! being the worst of them, he's a career criminal, fraudster and violent drunk with no amount of codswallop about being a journalist changing that he's a yob who has never followed the laws of the UK but wants to point the fingers at everyone else and make up whatever he pleases. Awful people overall.

(I wonder what bit I'm being reported for... pointing out Tommehs well known life of crime, completely unrelated to 'activism' or alleging that people who turn up drunk wrapped in flags to burn hotels housing families or go for anyone who isn't white might be a wrongful 😛 )

Ha, I was just re-reading your post and trying to work out what part was even contentious. Maybe you should have suggested the crowd was mostly those with "genuine economic concerns".
