Medical application choices

Hello I am deciding on my last few medical applications cities and was wondering if anyone had any advice or positive/negative experiences at the below universities?
I achieved 2230 B1 in UCAT, A*A*A prediction and 5 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s at GCSE.
I am currently deciding between Liverpool, Exeter, Sheffield, Nottingham and Bristol for my last two options. I would quite like a city/medical school with a good night life, but this is not a deciding factor.

Thank you!

Hi @Katie927,

I am currently in my second year of medicine at Sheffield and have had a really positive experience so far! The campus is in the city and to get to the city centre is about a 20 minute walk from the medical school itself. There are plenty of shops in the city centre or you could get a tram to the nearby large shopping centre called Meadowhall.

The nightlife is really lively here too! West Street is a popular location for students to go out to and in Sheffield's Student Union there is an events venue called The Foundry where there are regular club nights which I have really enjoyed.

The general atmosphere here is really friendly and I felt so welcomed when I first moved here. There are loads of societies you could join to meet similar people and the Student's Union here is consistently voted number 1 in the UK! I personally am a part of Medics Netball and the Wilderness Medicine society but you can have a look at all the different societies we have available here.

If you have any other questions about medicine at Sheffield specifically or the university in general please let me know and I'll be happy to help😄
