day 1: Tuesday 30 September 2025 🌸 ⋆。♡˚💐

it's been a very bio-centered day - first with a biology practical with the dissection of a pig's head and looking at its brain (very interesting though i accidentally cut a bit of the cerebellum off); i'm surprised and grateful that its head did not make the whole classroom smell, because i've already had bad experiences with dissections😭(KIDNEY. and fish)
after school i did a few study sessions:

resting potential + action potential (tutor work)

factors of speed transmission in neurone (tutor work)

organisation of the nervous system (recap)

structure of the brain (recap)

reflex actions - knee jerk + blinking (pre-read for tomorrow)

the endocrine system (recap for next lesson tomorrow)

structure of adrenal glands (pre-read for tomorrow)

it's good that i was productive as i only had 2/5 lessons p2 and p3, for biology at least - my personal statement took ALL my time 😤 i have double biology tomorrow (sigh) but hopefully it's more of understanding the content that learning it as i've already studied it before hand 💪🔥

*(late update)* Wednesday and Thursday were quite busy 😭😭

day 2: Wednesday 01 September 2025 🌸 ⋆。♡˚💐

it's the beginning of a new month!! October is another opportunity for monthly goals to be set, blessings to come and of course MOCKS. 😑 they're coming up in 2 weeks time which does give me time to prepare for them and revise smarter and not harder 🤭 so its not too bad

on Wednesday, during fourth period, i got my biology test that i did last week - i got 73% 🙏🙏 which is an A so i'm very grateful of my test score, even though I should've maybe done more exam questions when preparing to consolidate my knowledge on the liverr. we thank God regardless!! after school i managed to get done:

pre reading of my next biology lesson on nerves and hormones (adrenaline/noradrenaline)

maths work of algebraic methods

exam questions on algebraic methods

chemistry homework on Kw/Ka exam questions

day 3: Thursday 02 October 2025 🌸 ⋆。♡˚💐
it was my one-lesson-day where i ONLY had biology p1 and had 4 free periods. but the school day was cut short because of an open evening happening at our school for potential yr 7s joining in next year, and i was helping out in the chemistry department with one of my other friends in my class. they didn't give us any details though on what we were doing 😭 and what time to help set up, so by 5pm me and my friend went to one of the chemistry labs and by our surprised other students from yr7 to yr8 we already there at their stations (different practicals) and we had to help them out etc.

i got put with testing for CO2 which went okay, but not many families came cuz it lowkey was a bit boring - they wanted loud noises lol - so my chemistry teacher said i should help out with the hydrogen test (the one with the squeaky pop) and explaining what was going on. whoever would've guessed, it was a very popular experiment and a lot of fun actually!! HOWEVER, it so awkward when the 'squeaky pop noise' didn't do what it was supposed to do 😭😭 and i kinda just said "it's meant to make a noise, though it doesn't want to do it so let's try again 😅", good thing a loud noise came out of the test tubes when i did it the 2nd time lol. but it was great to see little kids engaging with it and enjoying their time in the chemistry department. there was another practical there, testing for acidity and alkalinity - tbh i didn't really see the others
my highlight of the day was when a parent came up to me whilst i was helping clean up after the open evening was over " it was really nice of you explaining the reaction - it's brilliant" 🤭 🤭
that's the impact i want to give, especially if i do pharmacy advising people for the right medication for their problem, making their days a bit better, so the comment did mean a lot. i was sooo tired though, it ended at 7pm and came home at 7:40pm 😭 and i didn't do work after, when i came home but i technically was productive 🤷*♀️

day 4: Friday 03 September 2025 🌸 ⋆。♡˚💐

it was a double chemistry day with a mix of Ka and benzoic acid practical, both quite chill i guess. i woke up with 4 hours sleep, and i literally said this academic year i'm going to organise my study time so i can sleep well with like 8 hours of sleep 😭😭. well there's always time to reset those goals the following day 🤷
i didn't get much done today because i'm ill AGAIN!!!! i think i got it from someone i was talking to yesterday maybe at the open evening because my throat WAS CLEAR, nothing itchy and now my throat decided to act up. and i've been ill for 9 days now already, it better go away before Monday or i'm gonna crash out.
i did a bible study though with my friends at my church and their families - we talked about Noah's Ark and how obedience to God is highly recognised and shows true faithfulness to God etc, which is what we christians aim to do each day being obedient to our heavenly father ♡♡

weekend - day 5-6: Saturday 04 September 2025 - Sunday 05 September 2025 🌸 ⋆。♡˚💐

the weekend was pretty much time for a reset - deep cleaned my room, organised revision stuff, scheduling timetable for certain studies for subjects (plus duolingo) especially for making time for yr12 revision. the weekend had a lot of cooking and eating yummy food, which kept making the days tiring lol, but it was worth itt 😋😋
i didn't do much over the weekend tbh just:

ch.3 revision pure maths on modulus and functions

biology work on nerves and hormones

biology t test practice

tricky partial fractions exam qs

hopefully i can be more productive next week!!
