Oxford humanities foundation year

I got ABB in my alevels and fit the criteria’s for Oxford foundation year however I want to resit and I’m predicted A* in English and A in maths (A in history is achieved) I want to apply to the history foundation year but I believe if I include my predicted grades it’ll disadvantage my application as they prioritise those who may not be able to achieve the standard offer but my predictions do even tho my first attempt does not

What should I do

I figured since I wanna study history I won’t retake maths so my predicted will be A*AB
Either apply to the foundation year or resit I think. If you're capable of achieving A*AA then you don't need to take the foundation year realistically anyway.

Why are you resitting for that matter though? Given you're eligible for the foundation year it doesn't seem a useful way to spend a (presumably gap) year.

I think I’m in denial of my grades and also I’d like to apply to other unis that require a grade above what I already have

Well the first part is an issue and you need to address that separately - and ABB are good results especially if you faced any difficulties along the way (such as any of the reasons that make you eligible for the Astrophoria scheme).

For the latter part, if you're eligible for the foundation year at Oxford you may well be eligible for widening participation schemes at other unis, so I'd suggest checking that because you may not even need to retake to apply to those unis.
