Medicine UCAS application

I want to apply to medicine. But I achieved 7776666544 in my gcses, my A-level predicted is AAB, but unfortunately my UCAT has let me down and I got 1730 band 3. Even though it doesn’t seem possible, do I have a chance of getting in anywhere? I wanted to apply to Leeds and I am WP but I don’t know if I should anymore because of my UCAT. Should I still apply?

Hey, I got a similar UCAT score and I personally have decided to take a gap year because I know I wont get in this year. With your situation your GCSE's aren't that strong and even though you are WP, low UCAT unis would want stronger GCSE's and A-level predicted grades. I think the best thing to do is either look at low UCAT universities that offer a foundation year course and maybe apply to that, look at other courses if you are open to that or take a gap year and redo your UCAT next year and try achieve high a level grades.
I will attach the link to the website that has the universities that have taken in people with lower UCAT scores, just look through them and maybe see if they will accept u or have a foundation year course.

LOW UCAT UNIS
(they might say like 2800 that's because its based of the old score of 2800/3600 so use a UCAT score converter online if you don't know your score compared to old standards).

Too high? Who said that, because you can apply as long as you meet the minimum grade requirements. I've never heard of there being a "too high so can't apply" thing before.

Yes I see it now, I looked into it and found that unis don't accept grades they think are "too high" since they think you do not need the extra foundational year support. They would prefer you apply to medicine without a foundation year but in your case it would be very difficult to get in since your grades and ucat is on the lower side. I think the best option is to take a gap year then if you really want to do medicine?

You can ask your sixth form to lower your predicted grades but make sure you’re eligible for the foundation years
