oxford med low ucat with extenuating question?

2130 b2 and 10 a*s at gcse (9999999988), a*a*a predicted with a* epq achieved. i'm a resit applicant because of my extenuating circumstances that affected both my a level results and my ucat score.

whats the chance looking like for me getting an interview with my low ucat, if i submit everything about my extenuating circumstances (i am a young adult carer for my brother, who's in key stage 1 primary, which had a huge impact on my A-levels and ucat this year).

i know i wont be shortlisted for an oxford interview via the normal algorithm, since its 50:50 ucat and gcses (i went to a high performing school for gcses so no brownie points there). however, on the oxford website, it stated 80 applicants that didn't meet the shortlisting score in the 50:50 algorithm were reviewed again and given an interview - hence why last year in the statistics, people with low ucats also got interviewed.

Heyy! No clue what’s happening as this whole resit process has been so confusing to me… are you applying Oxford too?

That's not a low UCAT score at all, you know. According to the UCAT statistics for this year, that's 83rd percentile, which is nothing to laugh at! Obviously no one can say for sure, but with Oxford's holistic assessment I think you have a reasonable chance to be called for interviews, but only time will tell. Good luck
