In my country, medical students are easily top 3 of the biggest party beasts along with business school students and the military.

Yes they very much do, not everyone, but there's quite a few at my university that do. It's a matter of balancing time.

The Med Students Toga Party was always a highlight of the year at Southampton, and the Medical Ball was a big night out at Liverpool. Have no worries, you get lots of 'time off'.

I would say it's a 3 way shoot-out in terms of partying intensity between medical students, nursing students and veterinary medicine students.
The dental students in the main work very hard and are much more conservative.
