Should I quit my job?

Hi! I’m in year 13 rn and I just wanted some advice rn…basically I have this job tutoring and I’ve had it for more than a year now but honestly it takes up so much of my time and I rly don’t enjoy it anymore(it’s to do w loads of reasons but mainly like managers and how much time it takes up)…there’s nothing tying me down financially, my only concern rn is that I’m applying to med and I mentioned it on my personal statement briefly. I have loads of other experience so it’s not my only one but I would prob mention it for transferable skills or experience I’ve had in interviews…im just worried they might ask about it in interviews and it might look weird if I mention it and they find out I quit or I tell them I’ve quit …I was thinking of sticking with it until my interviews were done but honestly this job drains me so much. I’ll prob only stay until like November/December

Hello,

As long as you gained enough experience to include on your CV, you can always go back and ask for a reference from that job. Quitting your job won’t reflect negatively in your interview either, you can explain to the interviewer that you chose to prioritise your education and focus on achieving the best possible final grades, showing “strong prioritisation and time-management skills”😉, especially with your goal of studying medicine.

All the best
