Student Finance and address

Hey, I have been approved the maximum maintanance loan (14k) But I have decided to move out of london soon, would this affect my maintanance loan? My university is in london but the accomodation I am planning to move into is just outside of london, I saw on the SFE website that I have to be studying in london not living in london to be eligible for the maximum loan, Thank you for your time!

Hi there, it is possible that the award can change after changing your living location depending on where you will be living at that time, however it is also true that depending on the university of where you are studying this may remain the same. What university will you be attending? Stephen

Hi there, the London rate is based on your university location. So, you should still be entitled to the London rate, the only time this would be affected would be if you were living with parents. Thanks, Leah.

You're welcome, let us know if you have any other questions! (and that's no problem).

Thanks, Graeme
