Should i continue speech and drama?

I'm currently in Year 12, and about to start grade 8 speech and drama. Career wise, I'm planning on medicine. I've already gotten Distinction with Grade 6. I was wondering if its really worth the effort of doing the LAMDA Grade 8. I'm not so passionate about speech and drama but I've heard it could be a good thing to add for 'communication' skills, how hard is it for those that have done it before?

Hi @UndecisiveBoy, what other subjects are you studying and are they relevant to medicine? If you aren't passionate about it I don't think it's really worth your time but you could speak to some universities you want to study at about how they'd view that qualification and what they recommend. Try emailing lecturers related to those courses on the universities websites or attend open days where you can speak to current students and staff. However, if you think it's an easy qualification to get a good grade in though and bring up your overall average, maybe it is worth doing it if you're able to enjoy it?

I decided to drop it, being honest i don’t see much of an appeal to it. Like it was something I dreaded for year 10 and 11 and still do, like it was only for the ‘qualification’, I think with that time I could focus on doing other supercurriculars I’d enjoy
