y12 gyg ⋆.𐙚 ̊ 🍓 aiming for 4A*s!

hi everyone! I've just started y12 and wanted to make a gyg to motivate myself through documenting my studies!

🍥 subjects I am doing..

maths (edexcel)

further maths (edexcel)

physics (ocr a)

spanish (aqa)

🍥 what I want to study at uni!

I want to study architecture or computing at uni, but I haven't made up my mind yet, as I also want to do something related to spanish which is one of my alevels

I am also considering engineering, but I don't think I'm good enough at physics for that lol

🍥 goals for this gyg

generally, to motivate myself to study! I am aiming for 4A*s as I want to study at Cambridge or Imperial

to do more extracurriculars as I currently don't do many

find other students who have the same subject interests as me!

Hey! You're doing great so far, how are you finding Y12? Did you continue on in your school or move to a different sixth form/college?

What extracurriculars are you thinking about for computer science?

thanks!! I stayed at my secondary school so the transition into y12 was pretty smooth, I was thinking to do some MOOCs related to computer science and maybe learn a new programming language too!
That sounds great - and glad the transition was smooth

Oooh sounds great! What programming languages do you already know?

hi!!! i'm in year 13 and i take almost the same subjects as you - maths, further maths, physics and chem. i'm predicted 4A* and applying to cambridge so would be more than happy to help with either of these things at any point! if you want to stretch your maths and physics, the compos follow-along programme is a really good super-curricular (i did the main programme in year 12 and it helped my physics so so much, though it is very time-consuming). best of luck with your goals for sixth form <3
