Predicted grades

This might be a stupid question but I’m applying chemical engineering at Cambridge. I want to be predicted 2A*s and A. Because realistically I don’t see myself getting an A*. Apparently my head of sixth form is giving some of the people who are doing early entry 3/4A* predicted. I wanted to ask if I should play it safe and stick to 2A*s and an A or get 3A* predicted. Because I’ve heard especially with Cambridge that it could turn out to be your offer.

Even if you do get an offer, it will most likely be conditional so you will have to get the 3 A* to actually go to Cambridge. 2 A*s and A are great results and Cambridge would love them but if they don't seem realistic to you, then chances are that the extra A* predicted won't help your case.

Sorry I think I worded my post wrong my mind was all over the place, but I completely agree with you. I meant to say I don’t see myself getting an A* in a level physics lol. But I can get A*s in Maths,Chemistry. Sorry about the mix up. Knowing this do you think it changes anything?
