Alevel Geography questions

I'm in year 13 and I do edexcel geo. I feel like I'm slacking and my grades are slightly getting worse. Honestly, I try put effort into geo but I just can't spare enough time. Does anyone have any practice questions because I've done every past paper there is but my exam technique is still not great. I can't find any online. I've tried generating some on Chatgpt but they're not great imo and i have my ppes in 2 weeks 😭

Hi @bluna my main advice is to always go to your teachers after class and ask if you could have a chat about your grades and how to improve them. You can go over your past papers and see what it is you mainly struggle with as this will give you advice that's tailored to you. If your school offers after school study sessions I recommend you go those. There are also online study tools that can help, I used to use Seneca Learning but there are loads out there it just depends what's more suited to you. Definitely use a free one though as the paid ones aren't really worth it.

Hope this helps!

Hi @bluna

I hope you are well! I also studied Geography at A-level and found the technique very hard to get my head around so you aren’t the only one! I also tried to go through as many past papers as I could so you are doing the right thing. Past papers are the best way to focus on exam technique and recognise what the examiners are looking for!

My best advice would be to get a teacher or someone who knows about exam technique to read through your answers so that they can provide you with feedback that you can focus on and improve from there. I am sure your geography teacher will be more than happy to read through a couple of your answers and hopefully pick up on a few things for you to work on! Keep going! I know it seems daunting but you are putting the work in so the rewards will come!

Let me know if you have any other questions! I am more than happy to help. Good luck with your exams.

Matt 🙂
