Glasgow university
İs the university of glasgow good? Can you list the pros and cons of studying there?

As someone who just graduated from UofG this summer, it has been an incredible four years studying here and I miss it a lot more than I thought I would making it out the other side. In terms of the pros
(1) academically our courses are very highly ranked and there is a focus in being pioneers in different fields as a Russel group university which is reflected upon the style of courses being very practical oriented and the professors who are very nerdy about their individual specialties and approachable for any questions regarding them. The year abroad programme not adding additional time to the degree, the flexible degree structure and the fact that the required modules for law were split out during the first two years to more efficiently manage workload were all big pros for me.
(2) the city of Glasgow is a massive student city with tons of other colleges and universities, It's a super-friendly city, which is really a testament to the city's slogan People make Glasgow. There are a lot of green park spaces about town and it still is a very busy city which I personally enjoyed having a bit of both. Travel links are very convenient with two airports, two train stations in town and free bus passes from the Scottish Government for everyone under 22.
In terms of cons I don't think there are many specific issues I faced that weren't things I could've personally avoided. In hindsight I wish i joined a sport society and got more involved in the sport socials that were weekly so I could expand my friends circle more than sticking to people at work or those friends I made in first year. I wish I got more involved in my third year of studies during my year abroad when it came to joining societies and actually put myself out there more.
I feel like Glasgow Uni and the place itself are super welcoming, and there is really something for everyone.
