Medicine Uni Choices

Are these university choices good?
A level predicted: A*A*A (maths, biology, chemistry)
GCSEs:99998888876 (8 in maths & English language)
UCAT: 1920 Band 3

I’m fully aware the band 3 is a bit of a barrier, so I tried choosing unis that don’t weigh situational judgement very heavily.

I meet a lot of contextual criteria, such as free school meals, 16-19 bursary, UCAT bursary, deprived school and area, universal credit

The universities I chose are:
- Leicester (my score is 82/96)
- Leeds
- Sunderland
- Keele

+ KCL Biomedical Science (I took part in a summer school which gave me a UCAS tag code for KCL which lets them know I’m contextual).

Yes, that sounds about right. You applied very strategically, so well done. Do keep in mind that low UCAT unis compensate in other ways. From the top of my head, I think Keele needs a very good personal statement as they use it as one of the components to shortlist candidates.
