LNAT

Any tips for the LNAT exam? I’m pretty confident with the essay part besides struggling on how I’m going to structure it and make a clear argument. I’m mostly nervous about the first part with the analysing texts - I’m really struggling with the practice papers, some of the texts I find really easy to grasp as they’re on subjects I’m interested in and knowledgeable on, but others are on things I have literally no clue about and they’re so boring, and some of the questions are just awful, like “Which of the following best captures the paradox identified in the passage?” What the hell does that even mean?! If anyone has any tips for how to get around the tricky worded parts of the text and difficult questions, please share them  tyy

im taking my LNAT on the 11th of october and w practice papers ive found that process of elimination works best. In the real exam u can flag a question u dk the answer to and come back to it. Also i skim the passage and then look at the first question and then look for the relevant part. I’m getting around 23/42 by doing this

The best way to deal with the difficult MCQs is to start by breaking down the LNAT into the most common question types and logic skills that are tested. Practice easy short versions of each question type. You will quickly become familiar with the reasoning processes expected and how to spot the issues. Then the practice tests become much more second nature. Try 42 LNAT Prep. All free for now. I made 20 practice tests. There’s a lot more material as well, organized by difficulty and by question type.
