Can I do this for Oxford?

I promise this is a legitimate question and I really want to know.

Would it be okay if I apply to a specific Oxford colleges because (based on website pictures) I think that the tutors who would teach me look really attractive?

It's not a sensible idea to go picking tutors solely on the grounds of being sexually attracted to them :nope:

Depending on the degree course you could get allocated to a completely different college to the one you've chosen. ☹️

I mean, obviously you could do this, in that no one ever asks why you picked a particular college so the tutors would not find out.

It would be an utterly daft reason to pick a college, and makes you come across as a bit of a creep. And you have no idea that those tutors would be there when you got there - they could have taken a job elsewhere, got a major grant so be on research leave, got sick or had a baby, etc etc.

But none can prevent you picking a college for any reason you choose.

personally i’ve been looking at oxford collages based on things like their meal costs, their library, and the area they are in as some are in more busy areas than others. i would much recommend looking at things like this instead as they will matter to you much more if you do attend oxford
