Thank you Eric, Really appreciate you sharing your valuable insight. I can't respond to your PM as yet because my account is new. Wishing you all the best with the audition process and congratulations on the result so far. Hope that you get a scholarship.

Thank you so much, best of luck to your son!

Hi! I’m applying for the MMus Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music and I had my audition recently. I wasn’t referred to the second panel on the day, and I know the RCM website says it’s “less likely” to receive an offer if you don’t go to the second panel but not impossible.
I’m just wondering if anyone here (or anyone you know) has ever received an offer without being sent to the second panel? Especially in the last few years.

Good luck and I wish you well.

Where else did you apply?

What repertoire did you audition with?

For BMus, my son applied to RAM and RCM, the only 2 that have second auditions from the conservatoires that he applied to. No results from either as yet.

Just a heads up that RAM are actively sending out rejections right now (Friday Dec 12th) via UCAS and email.

Did anybody else hear anything from RAM or RCM?

Hi everyone I’ve applied to RCM, RAM, RNCM and guildhall for 2026 intake (to study voice).
Unfortunately I had to delay my RAM audition cause I caught the superflu thing that’s going round and haven’t heard back abt late audition dates for January yet.
other than that I made it to the second round in my RCM audition but haven’t heard anything back yet so was wondering if the college has responded yet to anyone else. (I also haven’t heard back from RNCM yet)

DC auditioned at RCM and got into second round. Has not heard anything either by now.

I think pretty much everyone has heard from RAM but no one from RCM yet unless you got offered in audition - I did but they haven't sent out the official offers yet

Congratulations! Have you been offered a full scholarship in the audition as well?

Hi guys! I applied to RCS, Trinity Laban, and Guildhall for composition. I'm leaning heavily towards trinity (got accepted at interview) because I feel like the connections there are more relevant to me as someone with an Indian and Western classical background. However, I'm getting a bit scared by everyone saying trinity is bad and that's the only thing holding me back. Is it actually bad or is this just a misconception?

It’s a good school but not on the same level as the other three london schools, which might make it more difficult to exist in the london music scene

Just a heads up that RCM are publishing offers via UCAS right now (17/12 - 11:44 H.)

My son got in and now has offers from RCM, RNCM, GSMD and RBC (scholarship).

My son's RBC entrance scholarship can after the offer with no mention of it on the UCAS portal. May well differ between institutions.

Wow, seems lot of us get into Guildhall, RNCM and Trinity at the same time! I get rejected by RAM and RCM, and I am going to study Composition BMus. Actually I am not quite sure about the reputation of Guildhall... It seems like Guildhall is not as privileged as RAM but RCM... Just want to hear your opinios guys! I am an international student so I am really not familiar with UK traditions.. If I have said anything offensive and weird please tolerate me!

Have you already got an official offer on UCAS by RCM? Seems that many people are still waiting.
