Student Friendly Things To Do In Liverpool
Hi There!
My name is Josh and I'm an MA Film student at Liverpool John Moores University. I just wanted to come on here and make a post about some of the things for students to do around the city of Liverpool.
The World Museum
The World Museum is a great day out for students. It is free entry and is full of different floors of knowledge, with exhibitions such as Outer Space, Ancient Egypt and Insects and Sea Creatures. There is enough to see around the museum that can fill a full day with fun and knowledge.
Cinemas and Theatres
There are many cinemas for students to choose from, such as the Odeon, FACT, and the Everyman. A lot of these places offer student discounts if you show your student cards. The same goes for theatres. Some theatres like the Playhouse or the Everyman have cheep, affordable tickets, and The Empire Theatre have student discounts on a lot of their shows.
Mini Golf and Bowling
A lot of places like Junkyard Golf offer students 50% off a game if they provide their student ID card when paying for a game. As well as this, places like Roxy's Ballroom offer student discounts of bowling, karaoke, darts and other games with the student ID.
Liverpool Events
Look out for special events in Liverpool throughout the year like the walk of the River of Lights or the Christmas markets in the city. There have also been lots of concerts and big events like Eurovision in the past, so there is plenty to look out for.
Free Things to do and Nature
Why not go for a walk around St John's Gardens or a trip to Sefton Park with your friends for the day. There are also a lot of beaches that are just a short bus or train ride away, like Formby or Crosby.
