Physician Associate to Clinical Pharma MSc? Pls Advice

Hi, I'm a Physician Associate in the UK and I was wondering if it is possible to switch to becoming a clinical pharmacist? From my understanding, an MPharm is required which is 4 years, however, I do not want to study for another 4 years. Is there any other masters programme that can help me get into this career or whether this is even possible?

Please advise

Hi,

To become a registered clinical pharmacist in the UK, you need to complete a 4 year MPharm degree followed by a pre-registration training year. Unfortunately, there isn’t a shortcut via a master’s in another field that allows you to bypass the MPharm requirement, so moving directly from a Physician Associate role to a Clinical Pharmacist without additional undergraduate study isn’t currently possible.

Hope this helps,
