Cambridge application for natural sciences

I am in year 12 and I take bio chem maths physics alevel currently and want to drop biology. Will doing 3 alevels and a epq be enough or should I take up further maths or an AS level in further maths? I meet the requirements for natural sciences but I go to an independent school and want to make sure my application is strong enough.

Have you checked the entry requirements for Cambridge?
Natural Sciences, BA (Hons) and MSci | Undergraduate Study
(And btw, the type of school you go to makes no difference to the required A level subjects - or your chances of an offer).

And have you looked at Nat Sci courses at other Unis - you have 5 UCAS choices. Each one will have different STEM subject options within the degree program depending on the main subjects offered at that individual Uni.
Welcome to Natural Sciences - The University of Nottingham
Natural Sciences | Undergraduate study | Loughborough University
Natural Sciences - Lancaster University
etc etc

Further maths would be helpful if you plan to study chemistry

Why - its not a required subject for a degree in Chemistry.

No, but physical chemistry is very maths-intensive, and mathematics B at Cambridge assumes FM knowledge. More maths is never bad, unless it takes away from A*s in your other subjects.

See what they answer for the question "what extracurriculars do you recommend a Mathematics/natural sciences/engineering applicant?"

i agree with this - i was lucky enough to meet the head of chemistry at cambridge and he sees further maths as a very strong foundation for their chemistry modules
