At my school we have a mandatory work experience in summer we have to do for a week, I either want to go into law or psychology and want to do work experience based on that. What places can I apply for?
You dont need 'relevant work experience' for a Law degree - its a hefty academic degree, not a trade apprenticeship. Any opportunities that involve 'people skills' will be useful in increasing your confidence and world view - retail, hospitality, whatever - it isnt going to be the deal-breaker for any offer for Law.
I need to start applying for work experience but I'm not sure where to look I want something related to law and in London. Is there any websites that can help?
Hi there 😊
A lot of law firms in London offer work experience for year 12. Some of the firms I know offering year 12 work experience are CMS, Slaughter and May, Clifford Chance, Farrer & Co ( there are lots more, this list is non-exhaustive)

Hi,
It’s great that you’re thinking about law-related work experience. While it’s not usually required for university entry, it can be really useful as it gives you something to discuss in your personal statement.
A good place to start is by looking at law firms, or legal departments, as many offer insight days or short work experience opportunities. You could also explore summer law schools, taster programmes, or online courses in law. Attending local careers fairs or law-related open days can be really helpful too, and it’s always worth emailing or calling firms nearby directly to ask about any opportunities.
