UCAS plagiarism checker and previous PS

so basically I'm reapplying via UCAS, and some of my personal statement is the same as my previous PS. Will UCAS flag this as being plagiarism, or will it recognise that I'm the same person, or what? I'm not quite sure how UCAS uses AI/ plagiarism checkers because what if someone just wrote the same thing/ something that sounds similar? Also I saw on the UCAS website that you can use AI to reword sentences - is this ok or will it get flagged?

DONT use ai at any point, its likely that your ps will read highly on ai checkers anyways, mine did even though it was fully from my own brain lol, yes its likely yours will get flagged as plagiarism, but then a person will look into it and see that you're the same person, OR if they still miss this fact, they'll contact you to ask what happened and you can explain easily

You can reuse your old PS. If it is flagged, UCAS will see you've got the same UCAS ID and dismiss it. I would limit the amount of AI you use for the finished PS.

UCAS does not have an "AI Checker" explicitly, but of course if everyone feeds into an AI model (e.g. ChatGPT) by sending their PS as a prompt, it will of course start to produce similar responses, which will be picked up by UCAS' similarity detector.
