What's in my uni bag?

Laptop and Charger
I've had my laptop for over four years now and looking back I honestly don't know how I would have survived uni without it! Although it can be bulky to carry at times, I use my laptop throughout most of the day taking notes and reading digital library resources - it also lets me easily check my university email and start assignments on the go. Due to its age, the battery life is starting to fade, so having my laptop charger in my bag is also very important.

(Two) Pens and a Notebook
When I was in my first year of undergrad, I used to bring my pencil case from secondary school into uni with me - however, I quickly realised I wasn't using the vast majority of my old stationery on a daily basis. Nowadays, I take most of my lecture notes on my laptop; however, I do still carry a notebook and some pens in case my laptop crashes or I'm in a more involved seminar/tutorial class during the day.

Basic First Aid Supplies/Toiletries
Although I rarely need them, basic first aid supplies are something I always carry with me - after all, it's better to be safe than sorry! My university first kit mainly consists of plasters (various sizes), hand sanitizer, painkillers and tissues, along with tampons and a small bottle of body spray.

Water Bottle and Coffee Thermos
Hydration is essential for studying - so even though my reusable water bottle is quite heavy, I never head to class without it. I also like to bring a 500ml Thermos of coffee with me to save on buying coffee on campus - not only do I get more coffee than a standard cup this way, it's also much more portable and stays hot for longer.

Snacks
I like to focus on snacks I can eat quickly and quietly, especially if I'm running late for lectures or need to snack on something during a break in a workshop. My current go-to is Cheesestring and Babybels, but I also like soft granola/breakfast bars as well.

Of course, this isn't all I bring to uni - I always have my phone and headphones in my pocket, and depending on the weather forecast I might bring a scarf/raincoat as well.

What do you guys have in your uni bag? Feel free to share down below!

Hi @Kingston Eve

This is a good list and I carry most of these things with me as well! I have found that over my time at uni I have regularly changed what I keep in my bag but I always have my laptop, a few pens, a water bottle and some snacks!

Some others things I like to have are:

An umbrella for when it starts raining half way through the day!

A planner so that I can make a to-do list during my lectures of anything our lecturers recommend to read or do. I sometimes do this on my laptop if I want to make my bag a little bit lighter.

Some post-it notes in case I want to make a quick note of anything to refer back to.

A portable charger for my phone. This is particularly important on my longer uni days to make sure that I still have enough charge to get the train home.
