switching from drama to politics

I take biology psychology and drama alevels, and I know i am a month in but despite loving acting and having the biggest passion for it, i hate the alevel. the main issue is my teacher i won’t like, her methods drive me insane and she teaches our class as if we were in nursery, but even the set play is boring (we’ve read the whole thing) and i feel like im not learning anything at all. i love acting, but i do a club where i learn a lot of the stuff we cover and most drama related things can be done within the alevel. i want to switch to politics as i find the content interesting, and it is also the only other alevel my school offers that interests me. i want opinions, is this going to be difficult to catch up on if im allowed to switch and will i regret my choice?

Hi!
Politics is definitely a content heavy subject, and it might take you a bit of time to catch up. But, if you aren't enjoying drama then I would say it's worth swapping. You can use October half term to properly sit down and go over what you missed. It's better that than waste two years on a subject you're hating!

I changed to Sociology early/mid Nov in year 12 and it was the best choice for me. Do ask yourself if you would be just as unhappy as you are with Drama if you got a bad Politics teacher. Whilst I love Sociology, the teaching I got in year 12 wasn’t great and there’s a lot of catching up to do for everyone in my year. Also, don’t fixate on everyone else’s opinions. You know what is best for yourself. It’s your choice and no one else’s
