Applying for sfe via post

Hi y all. I applied for student finance via post i send a pn1 form on 09.09.25 and i received email from them on 17.09.25. they asked for some evidence and i should upload that online. But when i login i domt have there any application. I cant reach webchat online.Do you know how long it takes to see my application and progress online?my uni started on 15.09.2025 and i dont have any information how is my progress with my application. Im worried it will take a long time and my uni will withdraw me from my course. When i called on sfe multiple times. Multiple people gave me different timescale and answers. Last week on monday they told me it will be shown in the end of the last week but till now its nothing. Did anyone have same issue?

Assessment of student finance application for academic year 2025/26

Thanks for your application for student finance.

You’ve told us that you hold Indefinite Leave to Remain under the EU
Settlement scheme but we need more evidence from you to confirm that.

What you need to do
Upload a copy of your EU Settled Status confirmation letter to your account
using our digital upload function. We’ll use the share code that you’ve
already given us to check that you’re eligible for student finance. If you
provide your share code, you do not need to send us your identity evidence.

Once we receive this information, we’ll be able to progress your
application further and make sure you receive the correct student finance
entitlement.



I received this but i provided share code with my application. I just dont know how long it takes to show online because i dont have idea in what state is my application. I been told it should be shown last week but till today there is nothing.

Hi there. There isn't a specific timescale when your applicaiton will be data entered on the system. The best option right now would be to post in your copy of the Home Office letter confirming your status, as we can't confirm exactly when it will be data entered and showing on your account. So, the quickest option would be to post this in if you do not have the upload option available yet. Thanks, Leah.

Hi i post that as well after i received that email. As i was automated converted from pre settled status to settles status i don't have confirmation letter. I send to you screenshot of email saying that i have been automatically converted. And i send it the same day. And its already two weeks and i dont know whats going on. I dont know if is that accepted. I dont know nothing. Also when i spoke with ur colleagues thru phone. One person told me i don't need to send confirmation email as i provided share code and thats enough for evidence of my status. But when i had phone call another time someone else told me i need to send that. Your colleagues giving me all different answers about my application and progress and when it will be entered on my account. Thats why i wanted to know when it will be online so i can know in what progress im right now. Because from calling sfe i dont get any answers.

Hi there,

Normally, we advise it takes 6-8 weeks for an application to be approved. So, if you're not able to see anything on your account right now that's not unusual.

However, if there's genuinely no update by the end of this week it may be worth calling us on this number here and one of our team will be able to help: 0141 243 3570

Hello today it showed on my account my application. In afternoon my progress was on step 4. Awaiting confirmation from my college. But now its showing that its on step 2 processing application. How is it possible? Thank you

Hi Majok120,

This is when your application has been data entered onto the system and eligibility is confirmed. Once that part is completed, it is passed over to the core assessment team to calculated the entitlement for you. The current processing timescales are approximately 17 working days with subject to change depending on our current volumes.
