Is Imperial Medicine worth it???

Basically I've put down Cambridge, UCL and Leicester and I'm really happy with these choices...

Is it worth putting down imperial as my fourth or should I put a more 'safe' university??
My ucat is 2280 (93rd percentiles) and I have strong alevel predicted and GCSEs.

I really like imperial cus of the research opportunities, but they basically only use ucat pre-interview and last year the cut off was 94th percentile - when there was fewer people writing the exam 😭. They've also decreased the number of home seats... so is there any point applying imperial this year with my ucat?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for my fourth uni if not imperial... I need all the help I can get with the deadline looming.

Thank you!

There is a very small chance you could get in, but Imperial wouldn't be a safe option for you to apply. However, whether if it's worth taking that chance or not is up to you personally. I personally think that with Cambridge and UCL, you've got enough competitive options and that you should use your 4th one to play it a little safer, because you want to study medicine and it would be a pity if you didn't get to because you only applied to crazy competitive medical schools. I don't have any particular suggestions but I don't think you'd struggle too greatly to secure interviews at most medical schools, although for more tailored advice do go to https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7532244 and ask for some advice on medical schools there. Do put all your stats in there, including your GCSEs and A-level grades plus subject breakdown.

Probably not, you may have just missed the cutoff and it’s very risky especially with your other competitive options. Lots of people online are suggesting a cutoff of 2300 so it may not be worth it considering your other options

Thank you so much for your help guys!! I was also just curious abt Edinburgh.... Does anyone know if my stats are competitive there as an RUK applicant??

I've also read that you two are the experts... I hope you don't mind that's I've tagged you both.. I would just really value your input for this 🙏
