Hi - please have a look at what I had to say about this here. It's not something that is definitive until we have all the results in. We make our final decisions based on what everyone has achieved, rather than based on a set of arbitrary thresholds, which might be too high. We take an inclusive rather than an exclusive approach.

Breaking Myths Around Nottingham’s Entry Requirements - Repost - due to vital time in the application process

Hey future medics! 👩*⚕️👨*⚕️We’ve noticed some misinformation floating around about Nottingham Medicine admissions specifically that you must get a Band 1 in the SJT section of the UCAT to have a chance of an interview.

This isn’t true. Admissions has confirmed that students with SJT Bands 1, 2, and 3 were offered interviews and places for 2025 entry. The whole selection process, including UCAT scoring, is explained on our website, on Open Day posters, and in Medicine talks at Open Days. It’s essential to check official sources rather than relying on hearsay especially as UCAT preliminary results have just been published: UCAT results and stats. We want you to focus on what you can control your application, personal statement, and interview preparation without worrying about myths that aren’t true.
