Hi there. Universities can charge students up to £9,535. NHS England has agreed to fund the additional tuition fees of £3,830 resulting from the increase in fees from 2024/25 Academic Year. The NHS will pay this amount regardless of whether the fees are £9,535 or £9,000.

This means that from 2025/26 onwards:

Students in year 1 of these courses must self-fund the first £3,571 of the total fee charged by the university. SFE can award a tuition fee loan of up to £5,964 and a full Maintenance Loan.

Students in Years 2-4 of these courses will be entitled to a tuition fee loan of up to £5,705 and NHS England will pay £3,830 of the student’s fees. A reduced rate maintenance loan is available.

Hopefully this clear's things up. Thanks, Leah.
