I am currently studying an undergraduate degree with foundation year, the course is four years long.
I have completed my foundation year, and I am due to start my level 4 in November. I am currently pregnant and expect to have to take a break in learning for my final semester.
Will I still get my student maintenance, grants and tuition paid for that final semester or will it be stopped until my next year? And if I have to redo my level 4 due to this will I receive student maintenance, grants and tuition fees paid as an extra year or would I have to find a way to cover those costs myself?

Hi there,
If you suspend your studies your university will normally tell us and we'll stop any future payments, just to make sure you're not overpaid. So, it may be worth asking your university to tell you if this will happen in your case. They also have the option of telling us that you're suspending on health grounds, which grants you 60 extra days of funding from us.
Every student is entitled to one additional year of funding, so you're covered if you need to repeat a year (assuming this will be your first repeat).
