Senior maths challenge

I’m currently in year 12 and plan to apply to oxford to study physics. the senior maths challenge is on Thursday. is this really something i should prioritise preparing for and can it really make a difference on my personal statement?

Every extracurricular can be important for your personal statement, so it is definitely worth trying for the maths challenge, but this doesn't necessarily mean you need to prioritise this over other revision you are doing. However, you may want to prioritise the challenge over some social activities, as these can be done after the challenge.
