Printer Recommendations

Just looking for some printer recommendations.

I’m an old fashioned learner who prints everything and then highlights and makes notes from that.

So my ink use is extremely high.

Can anyone recommend a new printer as I do need one.

Thanks

Hi there,

I used my own printer too. I used a HP DeskJet printer before which was about £40-£50 and the ink was around £30 for both the colour and black. I currently have a Canon Wireless Inkjet Printer (not sure on exact model) which is also great but doesn't have the option of scanning in. The ink is around the same price.

There are many decent printers around that aren't too expensive. Something I would recommend is to always check how much the ink costs before buying the printer. I had a friend buy a printer before for a really good price for like £30ish and the ink ended up costing more than the printer itself each month.

Hope this helps, ^Zac

If you're happy with A4 black and white prints, get a business laserjet printer. Whatever you can get for free or nearly free.
A used, fully working laserjet printer would be fine. They're engineered to churn out thousands of pages per month in an office environment. For you, as a personal user, the toner cartridges should last for ages.
HP, Brother, Xerox, Kyocera, Lexmark, Canon, Oki, Ricoh, they're all good when you're looking at business type laserjet printers.

If you need colour printing, see if you can grab yourself a decent condition used colour laser printer at an affordable price. For lower costs per page than inkjet printers.

I've been given inkjet printers for free from friends who told me that the printers weren't working. All they needed was new printer cartridges and print heads. The trouble is, the cost of these was more than a new printer. 😅

One solution might be both a black and white laserjet and a colour printer (either laser or inkjet).
