Lse Accountin and finance

Does LSE care about the subjects here for ANF? As in, does applyin with FM/PHY have a much greater advantage/competitive edge then someone applying with ACC/ECON ALEVELS? Obv speaking phy/fm would be much harder then the latter, though LSE didnt mention this in their website. Can someone clear it up 😢

Hi, I am currently an LSE A&F student, and many of my peers have taken Accounting/Econ for their A levels so don't worry about it. In fact, I have met more students who took Econ than Physics. Your grades matter much more than your course selection.

As you probably know,
LSE doesn’t officially require specific A-levels for Accounting and Finance beyond Maths (grade A), but they do favour more quantitative and academically rigorous subjects.
Applying with Accounting and Economics is totally valid, but someone offering Further Maths or Physics (alongside Maths) may have a slight edge because those subjects better reflect the analytical demands of the course.
That said, with strong grades and a solid personal statement, you’re still very much in the running, and I wouldn't worry too much about it.
If you’re unsure, it’s best to contact LSE Admissions directly for clarification on your subject combination.

phone number is +44 (0)20 7955 7160

If they cannot help you directly, ask to be put through or receive the details of the department who can answer your query.

Hope this eases your worries a little,
ULaw Ambassador,
Alfred.
