postgrad student finance after dropping a pre-reg masters?

I am trying to figure out if I am eligible for postgraduate funding. A while ago, I applied for a pre-reg masters, which fell under undergraduate funding, but I ended up dropping out after about 3 weeks.

Now I'm hoping to start a standard postgraduate masters. My question is, would I still be entitled to take out a postgraduate loan from student finance given that I already used undergrad-style funding for the pre-reg course?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Undergraduate and postgraduate funding is completely separate. If you don't hold a master qualification and you meet the eligibility found here https://www.gov.uk/masters-loan/eligibility then you should be eligible for finance.

Thanks,
Claire
