Hi. Please can someone help. My son applied for Medicine with foundation year to HYMS and we based this on progress 8 score published for 2023/2024 which was well below average. He took his GCSE exams in May/June 2024. He just completed the additional information form and they said they will take into account progress 8 score from 2022/2023. He took his SATS exam. We are confused.

Roughly calculated interview score of 72 ( I get the full 15 contextual points)

Check this link on HYMS. It seems to indicate if your school is on the list based on 22/23 then you get the points

Hi. Thanks. Yes, it does. Hence, I have emailed the Uni to ask because his cohort is 2023/2024 as he took the exams in summer 2024. So they should ideally be using that years’ progress 8 score. Not sure why they are using the Progress 8 score from previous year 2022/23.

Does anyone know how many points you had to get last year for an interview?

The A100 page for last year seemed to indicate 72.
