Sheffield Aerospace course practicals

Hi there,

I have already submitted a UCAS application (yay!) and one of my choices is Sheffield for Aerospace Engineering. For context I am applying for both Aero and (pure) Physics.

However I’ve been uncertain about Sheffield since I don’t want to be in engineering labs using machinery or building things a lot during uni.

So apparently (according to the Admissions team) there are 30 hours of laboratory work per semester, which would amount to two hours a week. But the example timetable they attached shows… 12 hours in a week?!

So could anyone who is a Sheffield student please verify how much laboratory work Aero undergrads actually have to do? Thanks so much!
