ELAT advice/ guidance

Hi there, as a student applying to Cambridge for 2026 entry I have started prepping for the ELAT and am just a bit confused on the logistics of the test... is it online? and also if you only find out about interviews in mid nov. do you get minimal notice before the 18th whether you are actually sitting it? all the guidance online seems a bit outdated/confusing and I wanted to know what its like from someone whose done the process before. Thanks!
