Sheffield or Newcastle for dentistry 2026 entry

Ucat 2220 Band 1
GCSE's 9888877 Bio 6 English Language
Which do you think I am more likely to get an interview at this year. Really struggling to pick Uni choices and running out of time. Going round in circles.
Cant put Scottish or Sheffield or Birmingham because of GCSE and possibly not Cardiff as only score 26/28 and they heavily weight GCSE's. So now looking at Liverpool/Manchester/Plymouth and need one more . . .
So sheffield or Newcastle?
Wouldnt believe decision making my best componant on the UCAT! 🤣

Hi @surfergirls if your struggling to make your decision between two different universities, maybe it should come down to which one you prefer to live at. Visiting the universities and cities helps a lot as you can picture what it would be like to live and study their. Meeting the faculty and students and seeing the facilities also makes a huge difference. I recommend visiting them at their next open days if you can.

Hope this helps,

Sadly for dentistry I think it almost completely comes down to strategy and where you think you stand the best chance of getting invited to invite for. Unless you have all 9 GCSE's and you smashed the UCAT in top 5% and Band 1. Otherwise it comes down to working out the data and applying accordingly.
