Are my academics good enough for amherst college USA?

I am an international student doing A-levels. My first choice is cambridge but i am quite interested in the small class system at Amherst college.

I have two AP 5s(Calc BC and microeconomics), 5A*3A in GCSE and 5 A* in A-levels(Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics). For standardized tests I have 1560 in SAT and 8.5 overall in IELTS.

I have a 3-year internship at a local biology lab with involvement in a research project. Unfortunately I do not have many humanities-related achievements except for being fluent in 5 languages. Is it possible that my academics can partially offset this deficit?

Do you have any other extracurricular activities besides this?

Yes, i had a few student leadership roles as well as being an assistant coach at my local frisbee club for more than 3 years. There are quite a lot of other minor ones as well.

LACs are indeed quite attractive for their environment! Your grades are excellent, the main thing letting you down here would be your extracurriculars. See what else you can talk about (passions/hobbies/school events) and start working on your supplemental essay. I would focus on community here as your overarching theme since LACs value that a lot.
