Year 12 Work experience in person in film + tv??????????

Hello ! I'm in y12 and looking for work experience in person for something to do with film and tv because thats majorly what I wanna do in the future however places like BBC, Channel 4, ITV etc etc don't provide such services? Anyone got any ideas for placements? I also wouldn't mind doing like social media stuff or journalism instead if I really can't find a place but again no clue if theyre even possible to get placements in.

I’m a third-year Media Production student, and I’ve definitely had my fair share of trying to find work experience opportunities!
I completely understand how challenging it can be, especially while you’re still in college. If you’re not already using LinkedIn, I’d highly recommend setting up a profile and reaching out to people working in the sectors you’re interested in. I usually just message anyone and everyone in the industry — you never know who might respond!
‘Cold emailing’ is another great approach. Many companies are open to letting students shadow them for a few days. While larger production companies can be harder to get into, smaller ones are often much more welcoming and willing to let you get hands-on experience. Just make sure to emphasize that you’re eager to learn and proactive — that goes a long way.
