Tmua for ucl economics

I want to apply for ucl economics 2026. My predicted grades are A*A*A. What kind of score would I need for tmua? I haven’t been doing great at it but is there a chance at an offer even with an average score??

In my opinion yes it will be fine. I don't think we can know for sure because it's their first time using it but UCL know they will be many students third/fourth/fifth preference after Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, LSE, maybe even below Warwick and Durham etc. If they're too picky on who they make offers to, they make get few acceptances as many of the highest scoring kids may also have offers from places they would rather go to. Anyways all data will looked at wholistically and for unis not crazy oversubscribed a bad score won't be the end of the world. Even Cambridge and LSE take some students with average scores so I have no doubt UCL will too (I do not consider an average score a bad score, bad would be below 4 I'd say, as that's below average but Warwick once took someone with a 1 apparently!? Just shows how wholistically they look at applications)

Best of luck but remember scores aren't everything: it's only a reflection of how you performed in one hour of one day and any intelligent university will understand that

Hi I also applied my stats are 3.3 Tmua (School sent an email of how Pearson emailed me saying the validation no of my test score doesn’t align with my profile of smth) A*A*A*A*A in maths econ chem epq and fm respectively. 9977776666 9 in maths and eng lit and 6 in eng lang. I have gotten Manchester econ alr and my ps is good id say with essay comps and super curriculars with a good epq and a maths paragraph. Rate my chances

Hi, I'm just a student so I don't have a clue. You meet the entry requirements so you have a chance at least. Depends on number of applications and how competitive you are compared to them. Just focus on exams and don't worry about it yet. Best of luck

Hi I had the same issue with validation number, did Pearson ever give you a response/solution/investigate it? All they’ve been telling me is to go find UAT
