The most beneficial and in-demand fields for Strathclyde are accounting, business analysis, and technology. It equips you with excellent tech, analytics, and data abilities that are ideal for accounting.
For jobs in data-driven finance, audits, or analytics, accounting and statistics are more useful and adaptable than accounting and mathematics in Glasgow.
Thus, your fourth and fifth options are:
4. Accounting, Business Analysis, and Technology (Strathclyde)
5. Accounting and Statistics (Glasgow)

Why go to university for accountancy rather then getting a job with an employer who will train you?

its hard to get a job with an employer, I've also applied to many apprenticeships.

Just get any admin job in any accountancy company or finance department. Then after a few years use the experience to get a job with an employer that have a good reputation for training staff. Few employers will interview students for a job unless they are within weeks of finishing school. For example https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/candidate/search/results?keyword=finance&skipPhraseSuggester=true&payRange=0-10%2C10-20%2C20-30&language=en#

Getting an accountancy job with an accountancy degree without accountancy experience is as hard as getting into an book keeping apprenticeship without booking experience. The book keeping exams (AAT) gives exemption from 1st part of Chartered Accountant exams just like a accountancy degree.

Doing an accountancy degree shows little understanding of money and optimizing personal finance. Not what many employers look for in an accountant...... Remember universities are primary sales organisations trying to get your money.
