Is it OK without research?

I am going to apply to Edinburgh and Bath universities for my MA in education. Is it possible to get into universities without research paper or should I conduct. I am in a rush!
Thanks

Why would you have any research papers to your name if you have only so far done an undergraduate degree?

If they are taught Masters programmes they'll mainly be interested in your undergrad result. Any requirements will be made clear on their course pages.

Yep. But they are requiring at least research proposal if I want to study research. That's why it is interesting for me that can I not do research during the study, or is it compulsory to do research to get into. You know, sometimes higher quality research proposal takes more time as well.
