Resitting for dentistry

I didn’t get into 2025 dentistry , I just did my ucat which went horrible. My predicted grades for bio and chem are both A stars however I did not retake sociology therefore my grade for that has stayed as a B. I know I should retake sociology however I feel like there’s no point since already my options are limited. I was thinking to apply to enhanced dentistry programme at kings along with the Leeds foundation year programme. Those are my only two dental options. The rest of my choices would consist of dental therapy and hygiene courses. Is this smart to do, I don’t mind doing dental therapy and hygiene but also I don’t think I have any other options right now. Should I think about retaking sociology a level? Would I also need to write a second personal statement for dental therapy and hygiene?

I didnt write a seperate PS and put dental therapy and hygeine as my 5th option. I assumed because it was still dentistry what I ahd put would still apply. Just made sure to mention team work and all parts of team working together. Good luck

Hi, can I ask which university you got in for DHT as your 5th choice?

Applying this year so don't know yet where I might get in or not but I've put Bristol for the Dental hygeine and therapy purely based on location as I had wanted to go to Uni in south but because of my GCSE's/UCAT result have decided that strategically all my best options are up north. Fed up of analysing the data by that point so just went with location!

im a gap year student not sure if that counts, but I did not know it was strictly for mature students since it doesnt say so on website and alot of other people who have done the same course have said there are mix of ages including 18/19 year olds so i assumed it was a programme for everyone? I could be wrong
