My student finance application

I submitted my student finance application in may and it still hasn’t come through. I have moved in and started my course I’m just wondering if there is a reason for this and if I’m panicking too much or what I should do about it. I have been in multiple phone calls and definitely have all documents submitted but they keep saying it’s just waiting to be signed off on. Online the date it gives me gets pushed back all the time aswell.

I hope you are well! What’s happening with your student finance sounds unusual and they should have sorted it out by now. What does it say when you log into student finance online? I know before mine was sorted it was saying it was waiting on confirmation from LJMU for my enrolment to my course before I could receive any payments. Does yours say it is waiting on anything or does it just give you a date for when you can expect to get the money?

You are doing the right thing by contacting them and my best advice would be to keep in good contact with them until it is sorted. You don’t want them to just forget about it otherwise it will just take longer to get sorted. I wouldn’t stress, if you have provided all the correct documents and they have given you a date to receive your payments then fingers crossed it will be okay! Hopefully if there is anyone who is experiencing the same sort of issues as you sees your question then they can reply and hopefully know what the best solution is!

I've moved your thread to the Ask SFE forum so that an official SFE/SLC rep will advise you. They are usually online M-F during office hours.

Hi there,

When was the last time you submitted any evidence and what was the evidence? Have you spoke to any of our advisors to check the processing timescales or can you see this on your online account? When are you due to get an update?
