I'm so CONFUSED

Hello everyone I am extremely confused what to apply for since I have A*AA in maths fm and econ (gap year student so I have actually achieved those grades), am not taking the TMUA and want to go to a London university. The only courses I can think of are PPE but those are extremely competitive. I cant take regular econ and my subject combinations are apparently uncompetitive for a lot of other courses so I'm really confused and about to tear my hair out. Thank u

Hiya,

Do what you're passionate about. You probably don't want to do a course that you'll end up not enjoying. PPE is competitive, yes, but your achieved grades are very very competitive. If you meet the usual min standard offer, why not apply?

Why can't you take regular econ?

ahh im not taking the TMUA so I can’t do economics. honestly im so scared that i won’t get any offers and i’ll have to go through clearing if i put PPE since i really can’t rely on london unis. the offer rate is abysmally low

Why not try non London unis? I think you're restricting yourself by having such narrow considerations.

If you want to do Econ take the TMUA in January you still have time, and if you want to do PPE apply to some safer schools and some London unis and write a really good personal statement.

Whatever's best will happen.

i live in london and want to be close to home basically. would taking the TMUA in Jan make my application less competitive?

You can take the TMUA in January as long as it's not for Cambridge. It won't make your application less competitive
