Cambridge economics

Hi! I'm applying for econ at st johns for the 2026 entry and was wondering if I am being too delusional with the application.
My predicted grades are 4A*s in maths, fm, physics and econ. I have been on work experience in multiple banks/accounting firms (Lloyds and KPMG). My average TMUA score is a 7.5, I have done research projects on ancient Chinese economics and have been accepted onto 3 Cambridge schemes. I also come from a very impoverished area of the UK where barley anyone goes to university so i don't know if that would help in my case. I have done more like: competing in international competitions and other wider reading but its a drag to name them all. I do know that it is sometimes up to chance who gets picked and who doesn't but yeah.

no one from my area nor my college tutors have ever been to Oxbridge so I haven't had any guidance on what is enough to get in and seeing people with a lot more connections and information was making me doubt it but that has given me a lot more comfort thank you!

Hey you have definitely done enough and we'll done on being predicted 4A*. Just focus now on your personal statement - the main thing is to make sure it flows well and it's not just "I did..." for the whole thing but I'm sure you will ace it. Good luck
